This page explains what personal information Premier Business Strategies collects, why, who helps us handle it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Who we are
Premier Business Strategies (“PBS”, “we”, “us”) is David Stitt’s sole proprietorship, based in Burlington, Ontario. We help small and mid-sized businesses put Agentic AI to work.
We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the federal privacy law for businesses. When we send commercial email, Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) applies too.
David is the person accountable for personal information at PBS. To reach him about privacy:
- Email: [email protected]
- Phone: (289) 816-3299
- Mail: 123-710 Spring Gardens Road, Burlington, ON L7T 4K7
This policy covers our website, forms, emails, phone line and bookings. Client information we handle during a paid engagement is covered by our written agreement with that client.
What we collect, and when
You can read every page of this website without giving us anything. We collect personal information only in the situations below. Please do not send us passwords, payment card numbers, or personal information about your customers or staff.
The free Snapshot
When you fill in the Snapshot form, we collect:
- your email address, so we can send you your Snapshot;
- your name, if you choose to give it;
- your answers to 18 questions about your business;
- your phone number, only if you ask for a free 15-minute call;
- whether you ticked the optional box “Also send me the Monday Morning AI Brief and occasional tips and offers. Unsubscribe anytime.”
That box starts unticked. Your personalized Snapshot is sent either way, because you asked for it. Only people who ask for our emails, by ticking the box or by replying “Yes, send me tips” to their Snapshot email, join our mailing list.
Behind the form, a small script on Cloudflare saves your contact details in Brevo, our email service, and emails your answers to David. If Brevo is unavailable, a backup form service (Formspree) receives your submission so it is not lost.
The Delegation Audit
The Delegation Audit keeps your list in your own browser, in its local storage. It is not sent to us. You can remove it by clearing this site’s stored data in your browser.
If you ask for your results by email, we receive:
- your email address;
- the jobs, scores and notes you entered;
- whether you ticked the optional box “Also send me practical Agentic AI tips for small businesses. Unsubscribe any time.”
Booking a call
Our booking links go to Calendly, which schedules a 15-minute walkthrough on Google Meet. Calendly collects the details its booking page asks for, so that we can hold the call.
Phone calls and email
Calls to (289) 816-3299 are answered by Sona, an AI assistant that tells callers it is an AI. The call may be recorded, and a written summary of the call goes to David in our phone app, Quo. We receive the number you call from and whatever you choose to tell Sona.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever your message contains.
Visits to this website
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies. It records page views, and the country and type of device they come from.
We do not use Google Analytics, and there are no advertising or social-media pixels on this site. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, may set cookies that are strictly necessary for security.
How we use it
We use your information only to:
- write and send your Snapshot, or email you your Audit results;
- reply to your inquiries, and arrange the free 15-minute call if you asked for one;
- send the Monday Morning AI Brief and occasional tips and offers by email, only if you asked for them, until you unsubscribe;
- keep a record of who we have spoken with, so we can answer you consistently;
- see, in total, how the website is used;
- meet our legal and tax obligations.
If we want to use your information for a new purpose, we will ask you first. We never publish your answers, or name your business as an example, without your written agreement.
AI in our process
The Snapshot is written with the help of an AI tool (currently Claude, by Anthropic), which prepares a first draft from your answers. David then reads and approves every Snapshot before it is sent.
That is the same rule we apply to our client work: the AI drafts, a person decides.
Who else handles your information
We never sell your personal information, and we never share it with another business for that business’s own use. We build no advertising profiles.
These service providers handle personal information for us:
- Brevo keeps our contact records and sends our emails.
- Google Workspace runs our email and documents.
- Cloudflare hosts this website, runs the form script and provides the website analytics.
- Calendly handles bookings.
- Quo is our phone system, including Sona.
- Formspree receives form submissions only when Brevo is unavailable, as a backup.
- Anthropic provides Claude, the AI tool that helps draft the Snapshot.
Otherwise, we disclose personal information only where the law requires it, or to our own accountant or lawyer, who must keep it confidential.
Processing outside Canada
Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union. There, it is subject to local laws, and local courts, law enforcement and national security authorities may be able to access it. We remain accountable for your information wherever it is processed.
Email and your consent
You receive our brief, tips and offers only if you asked for them: by ticking the box, or by replying “Yes, send me tips” to your Snapshot email.
Every one of these emails identifies us, includes our mailing address and carries an unsubscribe link. You can also reply to any email from us and ask to be taken off the list. We act on every unsubscribe within 10 business days.
How long we keep it
- Snapshot and Delegation Audit submissions, and the contact details that came with them, are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, and then deleted.
- If you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a do-not-email list, even after the rest is deleted, so that we never email you again.
- Call recordings and call summaries are kept only as long as we need them to follow up, and no longer than 24 months.
- If you become a client, we keep the records the law requires for as long as it requires them, for example tax records for six years from the end of the last tax year they relate to.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you, how we have used it, and who we have shared it with;
- correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
- stop using it, by withdrawing your consent, subject to legal or contractual limits and reasonable notice (for our emails, the unsubscribe link is the fastest way);
- delete it, except what the law requires us to keep, in which case we will tell you what we kept and why.
Send your request to David at the email or mailing address in “Who we are” above. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we release or change anything. We reply within 30 days; if we need longer, we will tell you within those 30 days, and why. An ordinary request costs you nothing.
How we protect it
PBS is one person, so our safeguards are the safeguards of one person’s accounts and devices. Apart from the service providers listed above, only David has access to your information. The accounts that hold it are protected by passwords and, where the service offers it, two-step verification. Information you send through our website forms travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
If a breach of our safeguards involving your personal information creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will tell you and report it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as soon as we can. We keep a record of every breach, as the law requires.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first, so we can put it right. If we cannot resolve it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at www.priv.gc.ca. It is free.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, including whenever we add something to the website that collects information. The “Last updated” date at the top tells you which version you are reading. If a change is significant, we will say so on this page.
